Jackpot Show went off with a bang for our finial show of the 2017 year! The results are up on the Cutting Results page.

Our finial get together for 2017 will be our Awards Dinner on 25th November, please let Janice know if you will be attending. Please find the pricing for the awards dinner further down the chatter!

There is so many people that need to be thanked for this year to be so successful like it has been, too many to list but those who have done anything at the clubs grounds over the past year we would like to thank you as the weekends wouldn't go ahead if we didn't have help..

We need to put our hands together and give the 2017 committee as clap and a pat of the back as without this group of people there wouldn't be a club at all!!

If you think you would like to become part of the 2018 committee have a chat to Janice and she will be able to give you all the information you need.

CUTTING - The weekend of the 4 & 5th was the last official date to see the sand fly in the Cutting Pen.  The Jackpot Show encouraged new riders to test their skills and the more experienced to flex their muscles. What a great show to watch over the two days.

Overall, the year has seen many new members enter the Cutting Pen with us, supported by the knowledgeable riders in the other classes.  Thanks, must go to our tireless Turn Back Riders, they and their horses put in long days and play an integral part of your Team.  Cheers also to the Trainers and Old Hands who happily share their wisdom. The Judges who provide a gauge and encouragement as to how well we performed.  Not forgetting our amazing Photographer, who captures those special moments - cheers. Why is it that sometimes our worst runs, provide the best images?  And most of all, a bouquet (or should I say a beer) should be handed to our Cattlemen - without you there is no Show.

GRAHAM AMOS CLINIC -  18th & 19th November.  Graham Amos has kindly agreed to host a closed rider clinic, with all proceeds to contribute towards our Pink Day Fundraiser.  There are fence sitter positions available at a cost of $30 per day.  Please contact Ray Drought on 0415135042 for more information on the day and to book a BBQ lunch.  Cold drinks available for sale.

FEBRUARY CUTTING - Due to the hot weather it has been decided to give January a miss and host a Cutting Practice weekend on the 17 & 18th February. This will commence at approx. 3pm on the Saturday (dependant of heat) and run into the cool of the evening. There will be an early start on the Sunday so that we can finish in time to host the AGM commencing at 9.

WESTERN PERFORMANCE -  Had a great run with the weather this year and managed to finish their points earning shows early, coinciding with the Pink Day Fundraiser. What a colourful spectacle you all provided to the travellers passing by.  Keep an eye on the Facebook page as there are plans afoot to organise Fun/Sign on Days in January and again in February, before their official season kicks off.  These Fun Days will be held in the undercover arena to take advantage of some shade.  If you can during the year, please consider volunteering some of your time as a Judges Assistant.  Here you will learn so much, as you get an insight and tips as to what the Judges are looking for from horse and

rider.  You smile, and skills would also be appreciated for set up and general organisation of the day before commencing riding.

PINK DAY Final tallies are yet to be released but it is estimated that as a result of the generosity of Club Members &  local Businesses and Graziers  (Ray Dennis, Errol Craig, Warren Drynan & Neville Brookes), we have raised in excess of $3,000.  A Stirling effort everyone.

Arrive anytime from midday and relax under the trees with friends. Feel free to host a pool party in the afternoon. BYO pool. BYO Drinks. Booking and confirmed pre payment essential. AGM – The AGM date has been set for the 18th February 2018, 9am at the Sue West Memorial Arena, Josephville.  This year’s Committee would like to express our sincere “Thanks” for everyone’s support throughout the year.  So many of you have silently pitched in behind the scenes, and we have all enjoyed many a kind word from you.  In 2018, please consider what talents you can bring to your Club.  Fresh faces have a fresh vision and loads of enthusiasm.  So, don’t be shy when Committee Nomination forms are posted on the Facebook Page and Website in December and February.  Besides, we’ll all there in the background to support you.

If you would like to see any photos from both Cutting and Western Performance Days please go to Teressa's Website and check them out! You can purchase these by contacting her, details will be on website.
